Professor - Athlete - Poet - Coach
Brandi is a mother and educator who lives and works in Monterey Bay. She teaches English and Creative Writing and is a competitive athlete and published writer. She has lived and traveled all over the world and has several advanced degrees and formal education but believes her real education comes from interacting with her students and through taking risks. She has said, "people are more powerful and full of life than they know, sometimes all it takes is for someone to believe in their potential.” She applies this idea to her own life journey by continually appling herself to new endeavors.
Brandi is a dynamic and raw poet with several publications and participates in poetry readings along the Central Coast. Brandi also recently earned her third world record in powerlifting; she is a state, national, and World record deadlifter and bencher. Brandi is also a single mother and enjoys the busy life she leads. Her newest project includes going back to school to become a strength coach and nutritionist. Her business Rebel Wellness supports athletes and non-athletes at attaining their nutrition and fitness goals with personalized and tailor made programs that fit individual lifestyles. Brandi says, “I am inspired by seeing others reach their goals, there is a fire and passion in all of us and I’m just here to help others find their way.”
